The main part of Shadows Lie is made up of Kira Leigh (vocals) and Cary Tamura (guitar, bass, programming). Cary Tamura (CT) also produced, engineered, and mixed Echoes.

At their live shows Shadows Lie is also joined with the additions of Frank Grullon (guitar), and Marco Britti (drums).

Echoes is the band's 2007 debut LP. On it you'll find a mixture of both melodic, acoustic ballad like songs along with more dark heavy gothic filling tracks. This wide range of styles can also be found in their eclectic list of musical influences that include, Tori Amos, Incubus, Portishead, Bjork, Alice in Chains, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Ani Difranco, Tool, Korn, and Sevendust.

Two things run throughout the entire15-tracks, just under one hour of music, found on Echoes.

First is the near flawless vocals provided by the band vocalist Kira Leigh. Her vocals are always on pitch along with a very impressive vocal range. Whether soft and sweet enough to send a diabetic patient into a comma or hard and raw enough to wake the dead the sultry piercing blue-eyed Kira Leigh's vocals grab your attention and don't let go.

Second is the guitar and electronic elements found in the songs provided by Cary Tamura. With such prominent vocal parts Cary is still able to bring the guitar and electronic elements to the forefront holding their own in the songs adding fresh spice-like elements.

With Echoes Shadows Lie shows that they have what it takes to rise above the musical pack in the hard nosed music savvy New York City music scene.
